Elano Water” Signs Memorandum of Understanding with the Egyptian Paralympic Committee to Sponsor the World Para Powerlifting Championships

The Egyptian Paralympic Committee has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Valley Water, the owner of the Elano bottled water brand, to sponsor the upcoming World Para Powerlifting Championships, scheduled to take place from October 8 to 18 in Cairo.

The partnership reflects Elano’s commitment to supporting people of determination and contributing to international sporting events hosted by Egypt.

Under the agreement, Elano Water will sponsor the championship by providing its bottled water products to athletes and organizing committees throughout the competition.

The company will also set up dedicated hydration stations during the opening and closing ceremonies and across all competition days, ensuring a world-class presentation of the Egyptian product to participating international delegations.

The MoU also grants Elano the right to use the logos of both the Egyptian Paralympic Committee and the championship as part of the joint cooperation framework.

Dr. Hossam El-Din Mostafa, President of the Egyptian Paralympic Committee, emphasized that the agreement aligns with the committee’s strategy to strengthen partnerships with the private sector and broaden the base of local sponsors for international events hosted in Egypt.

He noted that collaborating with national companies such as Elano reflects the spirit of integration between sports and local industry, supporting Egyptian para-athletes in their pursuit of excellence.

Dr. Ahmed Eliwa, CEO of Valley Water, the parent company of Elano Water, expressed his pride in sponsoring such a major global event. He affirmed that the company aims through this partnership to support Egypt’s para sports movement and people of determination while showcasing the quality of locally produced bottled water on an international stage.

Eliwa added that this sponsorship marks an important milestone in Elano’s journey to strengthen its role in community and sports initiatives, stating that investing in athletes with disabilities is an investment in the true strength of society. He highlighted that the success of Egyptian para-athletes on the global stage reflects Egypt’s positive image as a nation that supports achievement and excellence in all fields.

Maha AbuSaa, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at Valley Water, noted that Elano Water places strong emphasis on empowering people of determination and providing all forms of support as part of its corporate social responsibility vision.

She added that the MoU will remain in effect throughout the championship, with potential extensions for future events—further strengthening the partnership and supporting the state’s vision to expand private sector participation in sports sponsorship.
